- NCBEA seeks to promote and improve the quality of business education at all levels through membership activities and meetings and through cooperation with public and private educational agencies and institutions, related professional organizations, and business and industry.
- NCBEA recognizes outstanding achievements of business educators in North Carolina and provides information to the state staff that can be used to request funds for business education in planning in-service workshops across the state, in structuring business education programs, and in establishing licensure standards, and providing professional development for North Carolina business education teachers.
- NCBEA is an affiliate of Southern Business Education Association (SBEA) and National Business Education Association (NBEA) as well as 11 other sister southern states.
